    First Session

At our first appointment, we'll review your history and current concerns. Using a warm and collaborative approach, we'll discuss your goals for treatment and potential interventions.

Early in our work we will do experiential exercises (mindful self-compassion or defusion techniques) to equip you with tools to use in your every day life.

  • Number five in a stylized circle

    Collaborative Treatment

Together, we'll explore strategies you're currently using and review techniques that may or may not have worked in the past. Treatment is always driven by your values and goals.

I welcome feedback about what you need (ie more or less structure, starting or ending with mindfulness) and to openly discuss the process and the therapeutic relationship.

    Ongoing Care

We'll schedule weekly sessions to start, evaluating your needs on an ongoing basis. As you progress, we'll adjust the frequency to match your journey.

How We'll Work Together

A Values-Based Approach to Your Healing

My therapy practice is based on your values and your goals for your life. We will work together to help you live the life you have dreamed of.

I use a warm and collaborative approach where we work together on your goals for therapy. I bring humor, gentle honesty, and transparency to our work together—and I encourage you to do the same.

Treatment is driven by your values—which may include connectedness, honesty, fun, kindness, achievement, and others. We'll look at the role emotions and thoughts play in your life, including whether your current methods are "working for you," and empower you to make choices that align with what matters most.

I will support you in being more in your life (rather than in your head) and in tune with your values. If it's of interest to you, we may incorporate various aspects of mindfulness practice.

  • You have the right to receive a "Good Faith Estimate" explaining how much your medical and mental health care will cost.

Under the law, health care providers need to give patients who don't have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the expected charges for medical services, including psychotherapy services.

You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency healthcare services, including psychotherapy services. You can ask your health care provider, and any other provider you choose, for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule a service.

If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill. Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate.

For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises or call (800) 985-3059.
