About Your Therapist
Welcome!
You’ve Taken the First Step
Searching out mental health care options can be the hardest part. I'm here to make the rest of the journey easier.
A little about me…
I utilize evidence-based practices of Acceptance Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) including trauma-focused (TF-CBT), mindfulness, and Mindful Self-Compassion.
I have been in the field since 2010, working with county contracted agencies as well as for-profit companies, and now my private practice. I have been a manager and clinical supervisor supporting the next generation of therapists in honing their clinical tools.
Mindfulness Training
I am trained in mindfulness and incorporate it into sessions as applicable. See examples of my mindfulness exercises here.
MY THERAPEUTIC APPROACH
Warm, Collaborative, and Values-Driven
I use a warm and open approach in which you and I collaborate on your goals for therapy. I use humor, gentle honesty, and transparency to support our work together and encourage you to respond in kind.
Treatment is driven by your values – which may include connectedness, honesty, fun, kindness, and/or achievement among others. We look at the role emotions and thoughts have on your life, including whether your current methods are "working for you," and empower you to make choices that align with your values.

ON A PERSONAL NOTE
Walking the Path Alongside You
I’ve always believed that therapy works best when it’s rooted in lived experience. Identifying with the LGBTQI+ community and as a mom to an energetic kiddo, I navigate the same beautiful, messy complexities of life that many of my clients do.
Because I believe in the power of the work we do together, I make it a point to live it myself – integrating mindfulness and self-compassion into my daily rhythm.
My Well-Being Toolkit
Movement: Weight training, long walks, and time in nature are my essential stress relievers.
Mindfulness: I maintain a regular yoga and meditation practice to stay grounded.
Growth: I’m a lifelong learner, usually toggling between a stack of clinical books and a good novel.
